Southern Pines Real Estate

Located on the western edge of Fort Bragg, Southern Pines was named “The Gem of North Carolina” by Southern Living Magazine.  This gem sparkles and shines in under the Carolina Blue skies.  Amtrak and the restored depot are at the heart of the town and the pulse of Southern Pines is kept alive by the lively spirit of the delightful shops, the Sunrise Theatre which was lovingly restored, and the many outstanding restaurants.  The Sunrise Theatre features old classics such as GONE WITH THE WIND and THE STING to Live from the Met, productions from the Metropolitan in New York. www.sunrisetheater.com/

From May to October, the First Friday night features great entertainment, vendors, and food.  Kids of all ages attend these evenings and enjoy the music, the weather, and the sidewalk chats with friends!  Spring Fest in April and Autumn Fest in September are other times for fun, games, and road races.  There is also a 100 mile road race, The Tour de Moore.  This is an internationally sanctioned race.

The Walthour Moss foundation is on the edge of Southern Pines and is the home of a vibrant equestrian community.  From the carriage parade through the streets of down town Southern Pines to the Blessing of the Hounds at Thanksgivng, the horse community ads color and tradition that is enjoyed by all.   www.walthour-moss.org/
